Hi, Im a student about to go into my 3rd year of an LLB Law degree, and after doing a lot of reseach on this and other websites, i’ve realised there is so much I havent been told about the LPC route and was wondering if anyone could give any advice. (Anything will help!)
I am looking into all the law schools that do the LPC and feel that london in particular really appeals to me, however im aware that costs are bumped up highly as its london. I dont mind paying the costs but was really wondering if or how much of an advantage or benfit doing the course in London gives over other places? Does london look more attractive on the CV for firms?
Also, what kind of factors (work experience/vacation schemes/volentary work) and extra curricular do I need on my CV in order to be accepted for an LPC? Or is it just a degree requirment? In other words, how difficult is it to be accepted even with a 2.1 degree.
In addition, changing the subject a little bit, im really interested in going into criminal law at the moment, (im aware everyone probably says that at some point!) but what kind of experience should i try and go for if i cant get any at a criminal law firm that would help and look good on CV?
If anyone could give advice on any of my questions i would really appriciate it, thank you
