Yeah there will be a lot of people from last year applying for TCs now - but law has never been easy to get into. However, the same issues are around every year: work experience, good grades, outside activities, etc… the more of those sort of things you have, the more chance you have of getting a TC.
There isn’t one answer to what chance anyone has of getting a TC - it depends on the type of person you are, what you’ve got on your CV, who you know as well as what you know, and I would say a bit of luck as to whether your application ash that extra bit of something that the recruiter is looking for.
