The Academic Approach
People sometimes forget there are two different sides to law, the theory and the practice. Often they work together backing each other up in the same cause. There are a few reasons for doing the LL.M and we have provided the information so you can make the right choice.
We spoke to students, academics and law firms for their thoughts on the LLM. The information we gleaned has been set out here for you to use. Some of you will be using the LLM to improve on a poor undergraduate degree (bad idea), others for the pure enjoyment of the subject whilst other still really want to be become an expert in one area of the law.
The LLM can take you in many different directions, you might use the LLM to follow an alternative legal career, or you might want to follow the traditional route and become a solicitor or a barrister.
For whatever reason you want to do it we will help you along the way. If you can't find what you are looking for try the search box, or post on the forum to get some answers in a flash.
