  • And so nearing the half-way line?

    All About Law. | 09.06.2010

  • Having submitted my last couple of assessments in International Banking Law and Carriage of Goods by Land, Sea and Air, I feel quite relieved that I have completed 60% of my LLM course!

  • It was a tough month and a half, which mostly featured me working away through the night till the crack of dawn and averaging a 14 hour day! I am really glad that it’s over!

However I have yet to complete a 15,000 worded dissertation which will then complete the rest of the 40%. I have decided to undertake my research paper on the policy behind the Supreme Court judgement on the unauthorized bank charges case in OFT v Abbey National and others. I have the whole of summer to do this and I shall be back in the libraries after the next two weeks!

Having applied to do my BPTC in the College of Law in London, I have yet to arrange for accommodation for next year. I have just under 10 days from the submission of my LLM dissertation to the start of my BPTC course; oh how I wish I had some more time to relax! I have however applied to chambers in London, Bristol and Birmingham for pupillage in 2011-2012 and have my fingers crossed for positive responses! It is a really tough selection process and is unrivalled experience, in comparison to all other professions.  I wish good luck to all my fellow students who have also sent off pupillage applications for 2011-2012. I shall let you know of my progress in my dissertation and its specifics in my subsequent blog!
