Exams are over and it is a first
All About Law. | 24.06.2010Well, that was a shock! I've just received an email stating that results are out (a day early) and upon logging in, I find out that I am the proud owner of a First class LL.B. in Law and German! Crikey!
I would try and describe the feeling for you but I don't think I am quite able to. For someone who's used to speaking/writing continuously, that sort of expresses the shock and elation that I am currently experiencing.
Worst of all though was how I had to find out my results. I was sat next to a good uni friend of mine on the train to London Paddington and was just approaching Reading when I received the aforementioned email. You can imagine the frenzy that ensued and the frustration at going through what seemed like 1000 spots where there was no signal.
Refresh, after refresh of the website page later, I finally was able to view my results...gosh; I'm still shocked. The reason I'm still shocked is that I thought it necessary to share my good news with you almost immediately and thus I am writing this on a tube bound for Liverpool St, where I'm meeting another good uni friend of mine, Nic Taylor (who's proudly doing a vac scheme at Pritchard Englefield - lucky chap), for lunch.
Today I also have a meeting with Kaplan at their London Bridge offices and then a Lawyer 2B 'booze cruise' on the Thames with a bunch of law firms and other law society exec members. It should be a laugh. I'll let you know how it goes! For now though, I've got to dash as we're almost at Liverpool Street where I've got to get off.
Enjoy the sun everyone!
